Asahi India Glass And INOX Air Products Collaborate For An Industry Pioneering Initiative With A 20-Year Agreement For Off-Take Of Green Hydrogen At Asahi India's Chittorgarh Plant
In a landmark move, Asahi India Glass Limited (AIS) and INOX Air Products (INOXAP) have entered a two-decade pact for the supply of Green Hydrogen to AIS's cutting-edge float glass facility in Soniyana, Rajasthan. This partnership heralds India's first Green Hydrogen Plant for the Float Glass industry, signaling a shift towards sustainable glass manufacturing. Scheduled for commissioning by July 2024, the plant will generate up to 190 tons of Green Hydrogen annually through solar-powered electrolysis. INOXAP assumes responsibility for the entire Green Hydrogen supply chain, including design, engineering, installation, and operations, ensuring a continuous flow of eco-friendly fuel to AIS. Initially, 95 tons per annum of Green Hydrogen will be provided to AIS, with plans for expansion in subsequent phases.
